Cañon City residents and businesses are already paying millions for the new pool through a massive $42 million sales tax increase. The Recreation District is racking up to $44 million in debt payments just to build the pool.
No wonder voters said NO last year to a property tax for the pool! Enough is Enough!

Cañon City is collecting $1.68 million in new taxes this year alone. The tax will be collected for 25 years and can grow without limitation.
In addition to the $42 million sales tax increase, the Rec District can issue $24.8 million in debt, with a whopping repayment of up to $44 million.
